Jeremy Jones attained his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Memorial University in 2007. He received his professional engineering designation from PEGNL in 2010, and is registered as the Member in Responsible Charge for NOJK Engineering Ltd.
Jeremy is also the lead structural engineer at a corporate consulting company in St. John's, NL. He oversees concurrent projects across the province with duties involving project management, inspection, analysis, planning, scoping, costing, and detailed design of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry projects. He regularly designs, prepares, and reviews construction documents ranging from small to large projects. Jeremy also promotes business development, prepares proposals, and successfully meets deadlines and budgets for clients.
Jeremy has also worked for two major mining companies as a senior project engineer and section manager of civil engineering. In these positions he developed, planned, coordinated, scoped, and engineered multiple capital, operational, and maintenance projects within two complex industrial environments. Jeremy prioritized and planned project life cycles from order of magnitude, pre-feasibility, and feasibility engineering stages to construction, commissioning, and continual improvement stages while managing consultant and construction contracts.
Throughout Jeremy's respective engineering roles, he has demonstrated strong leadership with a reputation for ethical, reliable, and consistent actions. These traits contribute to the successful delivery of on-time and on-budget projects with a focus on safety and accountability for Jeremy's clients.
